Tickets are now available for No Naughty Bits, 15-17 June 2017, at the Little Theatre, The Settlement, 229 Nevells Rd, Letchworth from the Box Office and will be available in May from David’s Music in Letchworth.
In December 1975 Monty Python’s final series was broadcast coast to coast in the USA – the first time on a network station but someone had cut out all the naughty bits.
The play, inspired by true events follows Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam on a reluctant trip to New York to persuade the network to reinstate the cuts. This ends up in federal court in a landmark case to discuss freedom of expression and artistic integrity. The play investigates the nature of comedy, the operation of censorship and the complex misunderstandings between UK and US relationships.
