Old Bailey drama comes to Letchworth

Do you love a courtroom drama? Well the Settlement Players’ November production of ‘The Accused’ by best-selling author Jeffrey Archer has got it all:

The Barristers for the defence and prosecution – wily, charismatic, egotistical, their battle as much personal as professional.

A parade of colourful characters called as witnesses but how reliable is their evidence?

The Mistress – or was she? Can her damning testimony be believed or does she have her own agenda?

And in the dock, Dr Patrick Sherwood – cool, arrogant heart surgeon facing life imprisonment for the murder of his wife Elizabeth. Is he Guilty or Not Guilty?

Only the Jury can decide and the best thing about this production is that this means YOU!

The audience of ‘The Accused’ will act as jury, as if you were in the Central Criminal Court at the Old Bailey. At the end of the trial you will be invited to deliver your verdict of guilty or not guilty and once you have made that decision the play will continue – with one of two different endings, depending on your verdict. Only then will we finally discover the truth.

So make sure you book your seat early to be part of the trial that everyone will be talking about!
