We’re excited to announce Frankenstein + Antony and Cleopatra as two new titles for National Theatre At Home.

Frankenstein, directed by Academy Award®-winner Danny Boyle, is on 30 Apr and 1 May. Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller alternate the roles of Frankenstein and his creature.

Antony & Cleopatra, directed by Simon Godwin, with Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo as Shakespeare’s fated couple, is on 7 May.

Next, We’re a little star struck by the line-up for our brand-new National Theatre at Home Quizzes.

Join Dame Helen Mirren, Sir Lenny Henry, Lesley Manville and Sir Ian McKellen for our first quiz on Mon 27 Apr at 7pm UK time.

We’ll be announcing further quizzes featuring familiar names from stage and screen, which will be on Facebook and YouTube on the last Monday of each month.

Topics will include history, literature, sport, theatre, nature and, of course, the National Theatre.

Casting has been announced for Headlong’s new series of online shows, which will be presented from next month.

Called Unprecedented: Real Time Theatre From a State of Isolation, the series will be performed by a cast of over fifty UK actors while in isolation as the coronavirus outbreak continues.

The companies will also be working with BBC Arts to broadcast the pieces from May.
