Once cast, the scripts will be distributed. Please start learning lines before the rehearsals start. There are a number of physical scenes, where holding a script will be difficult to impossible.

New Year, New Opportunities

Fancy getting involved with local theatre?

We are always looking for new actors, technical and administration to keep our local theatre energised and interesting. If you would like to get involved, why not get in touch.

But beyond acting, there are many other ways to support the Settlement Players.

Technical

As much fun as being onstage without all those “lines” to learn. Want to design a set and guide the set builders through to the creation of your ideas? Design or operate the lighting and sound systems? Different people bring in new ideas giving rise to exciting and refreshing productions. Talk to John if you are interested in trying out any of the backstage jobs. Help will be there to support you.

Bar

The Stocking of the bar, setting up and dismantling for productions is a task that is a chance to support the front of house team, and make it your own. There is support to help get you up to speed.

Front of House

There are a variety of roles that support the group such as, door box office, Programme sales, on the Bar, sweet sales, and generally ensuring visitors have a pleasant evening. It would be great to have a bigger FoH team available for show nights.

Theatre Club

The Theatre club is an opportunity for those who like to come and watch multiple Players productions to do so with a discount. Other benefits include advance purchase, preferred seating and a theatre club newsletter.
For a yearly subscription of £24, paid in September, Theatre Club members receive three tokens for use at any of the four main productions – a saving of £6 over the season.

Queen Margaret Cast

We are delighted to announce the cast for our March 2020 production of
Queen Margaret.
The role of Warwick, either male of female is still available. Please contact contactplayers@settlement-players.org.uk if you would like to audition.
